From PDF to self-service search

At a nationwide IT consultancy firm, matching consultants with clients was largely a manual process. Clients received PDFs with available profiles, called with questions about availability, and the back-and-forth took more time than necessary.

Fraanje Software built a portal where clients can search and filter on their own. Every consultant has a detailed profile with skills, work experience, availability, location, and a personality assessment. Clients search, compare, and express their interest directly—without a middleman.

Quickly matching the right talent with the right client

Finding the right consultant was a time-consuming and inefficient process. Clients received long lists and had to figure out on their own who matched their needs. The challenge was to fundamentally simplify this process:

1. Overview in a large pool. Dozens of consultants with diverse skills and availability that need to be clearly searchable. Without structure, a client quickly loses track of the offerings.
2. Role-based access. Not every client is allowed to see the same information. Rates and personal details are restricted based on authorization level.
3. Ease of use for non-technical users. HR managers and team leads need to work with the portal without explanation. The interface must feel simpler than the complexity behind it.

A portal that centralizes and simplifies the entire matching process:

• Advanced search and filter functionality. By skills, experience, availability, and location.
• Rich profile pages. With work experience, certifications, personality profile, and availability.
• Role-based authorization. For different client levels.

The portal replaced the manual matching process and became the standard way clients select consultants.
